We Need You
Dear God,
I continue to see the divide between Your people growing each day. Anytime I turn on the news or scroll through social media, my heart is breaking, seeing news outlets continue to showcase more and more things that divide your people. Father, Your children need You.
God, I pray that we turn to You and not to the news to get us through this season. We all may not agree politically or even agree about the racial injustices happening in the world, but You call us to spread Your love. You call us to love each other the way You love us.
God, You call Mankind to act justly, to love kindness, and to walk humbly with You (Micah 6:8). Lord, I pray that we lean into You and not man during this season. No president, political party, or man can take Your place. We cannot get through this season without You.
Lord, I pray we are each reminded that You are fully in control of this world.
Amen.
Reflection:
“Lord, I need You, oh, I need You
Every hour I need You
My one defense, my righteousness
Oh God, how I need You”
